Presbyterian Aged Care Walcha (Apsley Riverview) facility is located in the New England area, not far from Armidale and Tamworth. There is a large communal area that provides lounge and dining facilities and an open fireplace. There are also a number of small lounges, with garden or district views located in each wing. There are outdoor areas, gardens and courtyard garden available, that provide residents with a pleasant and safe outdoor area for activities, special events such as lunches, BBQ’s, or simply for sitting and enjoying.
The facility enjoys close connections with, and support from the local community and there are a large number of volunteers who visit and provide services. There is a local hospital (MPS) that also supports the health and care needs of the town.
All residents have individual rooms that are of a generous size and have their own en-suite bathrooms.
Support & assistance is available for showering, dressing, medication supervision, nursing care and personal care needs, provided by our highly qualified, dedicated and experienced care staff who are available 24 hours per day. Allied health care and multi-disciplinary services are also available.
All laundry services and meals, including specific dietary requirements are looked after, and emergency call buttons are provided in all rooms and bathrooms.
PAC focuses on designing & providing individualised care for residents to encourage independence, whilst still supporting those with higher care needs.

As part of the ACS Open Day on 20 June 2014,Riverview held a Masked Ball. The evening was a great success and the dancing was enjoyed by all who attended.
Presbyterian Aged Care – Walcha’s Apsley Riverview residents participated in the 2013 Waste to Art initiative. They put their creative minds together and came up with this wonderful mobile for which they were awarded 2 certificates!
They won 3rd place in the Community Section and they won 1st place in the Peoples Choice Award. Congratulations PAC Walcha!
One of the residents named the mobile “The Riverview Ribbon Harbour “because it resembled the Sydney Harbour bridge.
